Our vision for women and girls is, that they find their identity, belonging and purpose in God.
Dignity Campaign,
- We are passionate about motivating, equipping and empowering the local church to bring dignity to girls and women.
- We partner with individuals, groups and local churches as they seek to communicate God’s heart for women.
- We promote the hosting of a Dignity Day and a Cherish Dignity program which focuses on identity, belonging and purpose.
- We provide training, which empowers women to share on topics like: identity, relationships, sexuality, hygiene and menstrual management.
- We promote the use of a menstrual cup and washable pads.
- Our desire is that the church becomes a safe place for girls and women to learn about spiritual, emotional and physical matters.
Dignity Day
What is a Dignity Day? A Dignity Day can be either a half or a full day event. The focus is on creating awareness regarding women’s identity, belonging and purpose. Through group discussions and creative tasks we evaluate what we believe about ourselves, we identify the voices we are listening to and make a choice to embrace our God-given identity. We look at our uniqueness, the value of being part of a ‘Sisterhood’ and what purpose we have as women in this world. Part of the event is a session on menstrual management and the introduction to the menstrual cup. |
Cherish Dignity programme
What is a Cherish Dignity program? This program is designed for a small group setting with at least 2 facilitators and preferably no more than 12 girls. In these weekly groups we get together to discuss issues of identity, relationships and sexuality. These are burning topics for these young girls and they are hungry for mature, wise counsel. The Cherish program is based on Biblical principles, but the girls do not have to be Christians in order to participate. Even though we desire to impart Biblical knowledge and wisdom, we also want to create a safe place where the girls feel free to talk about real issues they are facing in their lives, without judgment. |
Menstrual management
At a Dignity Day we offer girls two types of sanitary product: A Menstrual Cup is a safe, hygienic, cost effective and environmentally friendly alternative to pads and tampons. It is made from high medical-grade silicone that does not contain bleach or toxic chemicals. Washable pads and panties are also cost effective and environmental friendly. You use the material pad instead of a normal pad and after use you wash and dry them, ready for the next use. In a pack you can expect to find 3 panties and 6 pads. If you are hosting a Dignity Day, you can order menstrual cups and pads from the Dignity Campaign at the reduced campaign price of R 195,- each. |
